Searches engines you have never heard of!!!

Do u know that are 290 search engines as of june 2013, how many search engines do u know???
Well here is an interesting bunch of search engines I bet you have never heard of…..



1.yippy(clusty):
         *It is a deep web search engine.
         *displays results that are usually harder to locate, and not found by conventional search engines.
          *want to know obscure government information, obscure news , academic researches then it your best tool.

2.Mahalo:
          *one of the ‘human-powered’ search engines.
          *the results are displayed manually by a committee of editors.
          *only a few results will be displayed when compared to google or yahoo

          *but they have higher quality of content and relevancy.    

3.Ask.com:
        *very much user friendly interface makes it stand out.
        *The way in which the results are arranged  is very much different from google.
        *presentation of the web page is simple easy to navigate and read.

4.Dogpile:
        *long time back it was fast and efficient, but with the arrival of google, it has lost its golry.
        *it has a pleasant presentation which makes whole searching experience nice.
        *it displays a large number of helpful cross link results.

5.Duck Duck Go:
       *it looks much like google but warn you appearances are deceptive.
       *very less ads when compared to google.
       *key feature: ’Zero-click’ information. This feature displays all your answers on the first results page.

6.webopedia:
       *dedicated search engine just for techno terms.
       *very accurate and precise  definitions.
       *perfect place for non-technical people to know about technical stuff.
